tl;dr: looking for electro/techno music made/recorded/produced by women.
@narF I assume you are talking about electronic music in general rather than techno as a genre. In this case try Emika, Ikonika, Ishome, Miss Kittin.
If you want more straightforward techno, then try Ellen Allien, Dasha Rush, Steffi, Cio D'Or, Esther Ofei, Rrose.
@narF also I'm not 100% sure that Rrose actualy fits into this list. Seems like they present themself as a woman only on stage
@narF I did some digging through my playlists, and here are some more names: Kelly Lee Owens, Stacie Flur, Zavoloka, Sudan archives, Inga Mauer, Jlin, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Katarina Gryvul
eevee (lofi from NL)
Maria Chavez (turntablist w/ damaged records)
Anne Guthrie (longer field-recording-based work)
Sarah Davachi (very pleasant drone & keyboard music)
Sarah Hennies (electronic & acoustic noise-ish composer)
Also worth checking out Tara Rodgers's book Pink Noises -- it leans toward experimental but is still very broad.
